While browsing through some recent greasemonkey blog buzz I came across this Dutch-language post on a blog (moretheterrier.co.uk / giftbasket/) that seemed to be entirely in English further on. Its content had been grabbed from (the Feedburner RSS feed containing) the original posting at Hans Mestrum’s weblog. (more…)

Social Software is, by its open nature, “stuff that gets spammed” according to Clay Shirky, who coined the term.

Blogs are no exception. Comment spam, is one of the results of the automated scripts spammers use to target standardized blog software. Entire machine-generated blogs, “Spamblogs” are another. (more…)
