Subscribe to Youtube videos and download them to your iPod or iPhone automatically
More and more Youtube videos become downloadable as MP4 video (instead of just flash) – and even more already are "behind the scenes" but at at a hidden url. This makes it easy to subscribe to Youtube podcasts/vodcasts to get the mp4 files to your video player – just follow these steps:
1 Register at Youtube and subscribe to video channels
2 Go to the "YouTube 2 iTunes" Yahoo Pipe and fill out your Youtube username
3 Run the pipe, and click the "Get as RSS button"
![]()
4 Copy that link, go to iTunes, "Advanced", "Subscribe to podcast" and paste
![]()

wow, that is pretty neat.
and if you quickly want one random vid converted for your iPhone without subscribing or downloading software, you just add “kick” in front of youtube in the url.
example:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=kgdyBvHdNKY
=>
http://kickyoutube.com/watch?v=kgdyBvHdNKY

**Update, looks like the videos are not downloading though they showed up correctly in the playlist. So it looks like this RSS solution is a no go with the Zune.

Brilliant stuff – just wondered if it’s possible to get this to download a certain user’s videos, rather than my own subscriptions, or limit it to one user within all of my subscriptions.
And further, will this only grab new uploads or can I use it to go back in time too?
