A court in Brussels has ordered on September 5th that Google remove all news stories from the French and German-language Belgian publishers*. “Removing” means: both from Google News, as well as from the Google cache of the regular search Google.be/.com search engine. The verdict is confusing because it mixes up aspects of the regular search engine and the news.google.be portal, both in its analysis and its ruling. Google blog search stopped auto-prefixing urls with the “link:” operator when you enter them in the search box. A search for something starting with http:// or looking like a domain name, used to be converted automatically in a search for backlinks (for a specific post, or for links pointing urls within a domain).
I’m trying my luck in a Dutch SEO Contest – the goal is to rank nr one on Google.nl for the query “sitedeals15 released”. I’m late – it started a month ago and runs just 3 more weeks. You can tell the difference between a cherished and nourished product like Technorati’s blog search from an early version like Google ‘s by small things, such as: have they thought of a bookmarklet?
